Tucker Door and Trim 2025 Interior Door Catalog
DOOR BEVEL Any door can be manufactured to full width with no bevel. All molded and wood doors are either ordered beveled or beveled in-house to meet our specs of 3/16” undersized on the high side of the 3-degree bevel. Typically, all tolerances on door dimensions can be +/- 1/16”. All wood doors come in full size from the manufacturer. Before a wood door is machined, it has to be beveled (e.g. 3/0 wood door would measure 36” before being beveled, and 35 13/16” after it’s beveled. A molded door can be made full width or undersized, but the most common way a door is ordered is to be pre-fit and undersized 3/16” (e.g., a 3/0 molded door would measure 35 13/16”). Typically, all molded interior doors are manufactured pre-fit and double beveled 3/16”. Meaning the door starts at 36” and then 3/16” is beveled off. Both sides of the door are beveled 3 degrees. The overall measurement would be 35 13/16” on the high side of the bevel.

Birch, Hardboard, and Lauan doors are only beveled on one side and pre-fit 3/16”. One side of the door is square and the other side is beveled 3/16”. The door is always bored on the beveled side.

o HINGE AT 3 ON MACHINE
When installing hinges, it's crucial to position the high side of the bevel towards the hinge side. Our specially designed door lines can route a hinge pocket at a precise 3-degree angle, ensuring the hinge sits flush against the door's edge for a seamless appearance. While Tucker Door’s high-speed door lines excel in efficiency, they are limited to routing hinge pockets at a 90-degree angle. In this configuration, the top of the hinge aligns flush with the door’s surface while the bottom extends outward. Be mindful that when running your finger along the bottom edge of the hinge, you will notice it protruding from the door's stile.

SIDE CASING
A standard method for attaching the casing pieces before assembly on the door is with a V-Nail machine. This machine will hold and then staple the miter of the head and side casings together.
